Biography: Nanni di Banco was a Florentine sculptor who was active around the beginning of the 15th century. Most of his work was designed either for the cathedral or the church of Orsanmichele in Florence. Nanni di Banco often worked alongside Donatello in the decoration of these locations. His work exemplifies the transition between Gothic and Renaissance sculpture and was also influenced by classical art. His most famous sculpture is the Quatro Santi Coronati (Four Crowned Saints) located at the Orsanmichele.
